Black Friday Shopping Guide for your Winter Capsule Wardrobe
Black Friday can be a bit overwhelming when you’re trying to take advantage of the deals, get a head start on holiday shopping, and build your winter capsule wardrobe piece by piece. This year, I’ve decided to develop a game plan for online shopping so that I’m able to add some quality pieces into my wardrobe without breaking the bank. Below are my top picks for winter wardrobe additions, as well as recommendations for where to bag each piece. Happy shopping!
Satin Shirt
If you’re looking for a festive blouse that can be worn with anything, consider a satin or silk button down shirt. There’s something about the masculine style mixed with the feminine materials that make for an absolute winner. I’ve seen some great options from Topshop, and Asos. There are so many great colors to choose from but I really love the off white and the rust colors.
Dark Wash Denim
Another great staple to stock up on is dark wash denim. I will probably opt for this raw hem straight leg pair in washed black from Topshop. As I’ve mentioned before, I am also a big fan of Urban Outfitters BDG brand denim. One of my favorite pairs is the high-rise cropped kick-flare which also looks lovely in a washed black. If you love the vintage denim look as much as me, you might consider investing in a pair of the Levi’s Wedgie jeans at a discount. It’s practically guaranteed these will be super flattering!
Something Sparkly
One thing I will definitely have my eye on come Black Friday, is a new piece of jewelry to add to my everyday collection. I’ll be checking out the great deals at places like Daisy London, Mejuri, and Missoma. I’m excited to check out Estee Lalonde’s collaboration with Daisy as well as new pieces in at Missoma. Also, a favorite of mine is Mejuri and I’ve been eyeing their minimal gold earrings. Black Friday is a great time to invest in nice quality everyday staples like minimal gold jewelry for myself. The Nearly-Perfect Black Flats
Loafers are one of my favorite staple pieces of this season because they are so versatile and polished. I love these Gucci-esque loafers popping up and they’re actually from & Other Stories! These can be found on so many luxury retail sites, so shop around to find the best deal.

The Trendy Winter Coat
This season there have been too many good coats to choose from. I love the teddy style, the double-breasted long coats, and faux fur styles. Even puffers are having their moment this season. But coats can get pricey, so what better time to invest than Black Friday when you have the chance to snag a big discount. Tops and Leggings for Layering
If you’re looking for very practical items, now is a great time to stock up on Uniqlo Heattech tops and leggings for layering. I plan on grabbing some for lounging in my apartment (which gets surprisingly cold in the winter). I especially like this turtleneck for layering under dresses, blouses and sweaters for an added layer of warmth.
