My Current Homeware Wishlist

I have been so enjoying spending time at home lately. I love how my apartment feels and looks right now, filled with light and comfortable personal touches. Kyle and I have been changing things here and there recently, and I think it’s looking a lot fresher around here because of that. But there is still so much more I want to do and I’ve been scouring Pinterest and my favorite online homeware shops to get a better idea of exactly what I want. So today I want to share some shots from around my home and my ever-growing homeware wishlist.

A couple of major changes that we’ve done just in the past two weeks include the dresser and a new chair in our living room. The 6-Drawer Malm Dresser from Ikea has been a huge help in terms of clothing storage in our bedroom. We had originally gone with a dark brown/black shade, but I felt it was just too dark for our small space. So we actually ended up switching it out for a white one of the same style. It instantly made the bedroom feel brighter and I’m really enjoying styling it with prints, vases, candles and jewelry.

I’ve also been on the hunt for the perfect accent chair to complete our living room, for some time now. I had my eye on the pink brushed velvet Auburn chair from West Elm and after many months of mowing it over, I finally snagged it at a huge discount during a sale. It’s everything I wanted for the living room and adds a really cheerful little reading nook to the space. I’m also feeling so chuffed with getting all the furniture in there.

Other than that, I’ve been doing a little refresh on throw pillows over the past few months, including some simple velvet and fuzzy pillow cases for the bedroom and sofa. I also picked up a round gold tray for the bar cart that I’m currently working on putting together. And I finally framed those gorgeous Jan Skacelik prints that I’ve been going on about for ages.

So what’s next on my list? I’m looking to add a floor lamp in the living room, as we have pretty awful overhear lighting at the moment (which I don’t mind much because of the beautiful 1920’s fixtures in our apartment). I’m also very happy to report that the house plants are doing well after a bit of moving around, so I’m hoping to add at least one more in the living room, with a funky little pot for it to live in. Sometime this summer I’m hoping to change the bedding and duvet to something a little lighter too. And I really want to thrift some more art books to flick through on those stay at home days.

You can see all of my current homeware favorites linked below. And tell me, what are your favorite homeware items? Do you have any home reshuffling plans in the near future? I’d love to chat in the comments below! Thanks for reading. xx Jessica
