Autumn Outfit 2
Autumnal Activities
Happy Fall, y’all! This is one of my favorite outfits as of late and I felt it was only right to give it a place here on the blog. Last weekend Kyle and I went to visit a Kate O Sessions Park, a gorgeous spot with some amazing views of all of San Diego and the Bay. It was very overcast and a bit chilly all day long so this outfit was just perfect for the weather. While I was initially planning to shoot some photos of this look at the park, I later decided to put down the camera and enjoy my Saturday. That was just the reminder I needed to take some time out to enjoy the moment.
The Wool Shacket
This Wool Shirt Jacket from Tradlands is the newest addition to my Fall capsule wardrobe (kindly gifted) and I’ve been wearing it every chance I get! I will admit, I wish I had sized up one or two sizes for more of a shacket feel, as my size small fits well but more like a shirt than a jacket. Other than that I am really loving all the attention to detail that went into this piece. The collar is a sturdy one and the white buttons really make it for me. I love a menswear and utilitarian style influence and this piece was actually inspired by vintage workwear! Leave it to Tradlands to create the most perfect yet understated and classic staple. Kyle even tried it on a couple times when it arrived so I’ll have to keep my eye on it to make sure it doesn’t magically make its way into his closet.
Clogs & Stripes: A Love Story
If you’ve seen my Instagram recently you may have noticed a running theme of clogs and stripes. These are the two pieces I’ve been repeat wearing lately, together and separately. I recently added a second striped shirt to my collection, as this black and white one was being worn so much. I actually found a navy and white striped Breton-style top secondhand on ThredUp while trying to use up some store credit. it’s originally from Uniqlo, just like this one pictured and I’ve literally been wearing it nonstop.
My other style obsession as of late are these Dublin Clogs from Sandgrens, which you may remember from a previous outfit post this summer. I knew at the time that once Fall rolled around I would have these on repeat, and I wasn’t wrong. I love the sleek black leather paired with the light wood heel, such a great combo. And these shoes just seem to work with everything! They look great with dresses, jeans and black stretchy pants too. I will admit, they take some getting used to walking in but eventually the leather will soften and mold to my foot and they will be the most comfortable shoes so I’ll manage until then.
