A Week In Outfits: November 6-10
Here’s another roundup of my #NeutralOrNotNovember outfits, an Instagram styling challenge hosted by @dressing_dawn. This challenge has really got me excited about restyling some of my favorite wardrobe staples. These are also some of the last photos I took in my old apartment (life update here) which is a bit bittersweet. So here’s my week in Fall outfits.
November 6: This Is So Me
This is one of my go-to WFH outfits because it looks sleek and put together (all black) but also really comfortable (stretchy pants & slides) and cozy (knit cardigan). I can work all day and then lounge in this in the evening. I’m also partial to a black and white outfit so I’d say this outfit really fits the theme of the day.
November 7: Sweater Weather
An easy Fall uniform for me is a big chunky knit sweater and a classic pair of straight leg denim. The only thing that really changes with this uniform is the shoes. These Sandgrens clogs feel so autumnal and chic but to dress this up a bit more I might switch them out for a pair of heeled boots. I also really love this taupe color for Fall, it’s the perfect neutral in my eyes because it looks great with black or brown accessories.
November 8: Add A Jacket
The Sezane Scott Trench is probably the best investment piece I’ve purchased in a while. It just makes any outfit look chic and effortless. It easily dresses up this otherwise simple jeans and a tee look and the stripes make it feel extra Parisian, which is always a plus in my books. I do think trench coats can be a bit tricky to style sometimes but I’ve found that a more casual outfits underneath really helps balance things out.

November 9: With Boots
This is a new outfit that I’ve been wearing a lot lately: my secondhand Navy striped Breton-style top and some washed black denim. I wouldn’t normally have thought to pair navy with black denim but I think it makes for a slightly more unexpected combination. I also just adore the cut of these Levi’s Ribcage straight leg jeans. The wider cut of the leg looks so cool paired with some cowboy-esque heeled booties.

November 10: Tonal
So I’ll admit this isn’t my best attempt at tonal-dressing but I have a very limited wardrobe at the moment, while I wait for my moving boxes to arrive so this is all I could manage. That said, I actually love this combination of wardrobe staples and somehow hadn’t thought to pair them together before today. This just goes to show why these styling challenges are so useful; they really help you reimagine your wardrobe and rework your day to day style. I’ve officially added this look to my outfit repertoire.
