A Week In Outfits: November 11-15
Here’s another roundup of my #NeutralOrNotNovember outfits, an Instagram styling challenge hosted by @dressing_dawn. I can’t believe we’re already half way through November. It’s been such a fast paced month and my brain is still trying to process all the changes. So it’s been nice to have at least one form of consistently in this style challenge. Here’s a look at this past week in outfits.
November 11: Texture
I adore this VETTA Capsule Cardigan that I received recently. It’s slightly cropped and works great with high waisted denim. It’s also got the nicest soft oatmeal color to it, speckled with black and tan bits. Here I styled it as a top, one of my favorite ways to wear a chunky knit cardigan, for a day working around the house.
November 12: Almost All Black
This outfit had me reminiscing on the “museum black” I used to have to wear at my old jobs. I’m quite a fan of an all black outfit. It’s probably the fasted way to look put together and requires very little thought, perfect for those mornings when you just can’t be bothered to think up a cohesive outfit. I decided to break up the black with a classic denim jacket.

November 13: White On Top
Styling a white button down over a black turtleneck is a look I’ve seen many times before but never actually tried out for myself. Turns out I love the preppy, put together vibe it gives off. I feel like this is an outfit my mom would have worn in the 80’s (in a good way) and yet it still feels very Pinterest worthy today.

November 14: Not Your Usual Neutral
Ah yes, the Minor History True Bag that I’ve used pretty much every day since I got it. I knew in an instant that I would feature it for today’s prompt because surprisingly this plum burgundy color works like a neutral in my closet. It just looks so good with everything I try on and that’s perfect for me because I tend to use the same handbag for weeks at a time without switching it up too often.
November 15: Lux
So I’ll admit I needed to borrow a piece from mom’s closet for today’s prompt as I’ve been living in tees and sweatpants for the past few weeks. That said, it felt so good to get a bit more dressed up (just because) and it really helped lift my mood. This vintage Pierre Cardin blouse is also a strong contender for a minimal holiday look. The embroidered bow detail and peter pan collar are just too previous.
