Three Winter Pieces On Repeat
While I ease myself back into my routine for this new year, I’ve been gravitating towards all the softest, most comfortable and stretchy pieces in my wardrobe. Maybe it’s the post-holiday slowness or maybe it’s the cold weather but these days I’ve been keeping my outfit formulas pretty simple. There are three pieces in particular that I’ve been wearing a ton this winter so today I’m sharing those with you.
The Slouchy Knit
One thing you can find me in every day as of late is a slouchy knit sweater. I currently love to drape it around my shoulders when I’m not wearing. I have a sweater in close proximity to me all day to deal with the fluctuating temperatures within my home. One of my favorites at the moment is the Haven Sweater from Tradlands. The wool blend is oh so soft and warm. Another favorite of mine as of late is the W Highline Turtleneck from Tentree. And a note on sizing: I tend to size up or choose more oversized silhouettes for a comfortable, loose fit.
The Matching Lounge Set
This year I’ve finally embraced the matching lounge set and honestly I don’t know what took me so long. This set is new from Encircled (kindly gifted and launching today!) which features their popular Dressy Sweatpants and Dressy Pullover in a lovely ribbed navy. I have truly not wanted to wear anything else since it arrived. It’s so comfortable for lounging around the house and working from home but it’s also easily dressed up for going out, running errands or grabbing a bite to eat. Of course the pieces can be styled separately too, worn as activewear or even for a more casual workwear look. And there’s just something about having a matching lounge set that makes me feel like my adulting game is strong.
The Camel Coat
When I do manage to venture out of the house, I’ve been reaching for a camel coat every time. I have a couple of camel coats in my winter wardrobe: one unlined cocoon coat for the warmer days and one heavier wrap coat (pictured) that I throw on in the chilliest weather. A camel coat makes every outfit look so much more polished in my opinion. And because it’s a warm neutral, it looks great worn over nearly everything in my wardrobe, including cool-toned grays, as I recently discovered.
