October Playlist
This month’s playlist is a vibey, moody one, featuring new and new-to-me tracks from old favorites like James Blake, Howling, Seekae and BADBADNOTGOOD.
Then there’s some top 40s stuff that I’ve been shamelessly playing on repeat, from the likes of Absofacto, Glass Animals and a cover of MGMT’s “Electric Feel” by a band that I’m not too familiar with, Coast Modern (their song “Guru” is also worth a listen).
One of my favorite recent discoveries is Axel Boman, a Swedish house musician whose upbeat tunes have been soundtracking my workdays lately.
Another favorite is Wet Leg, a female rock duo whose sound reminds me a bit of The Dø crossed with Courtney Barnett (idk guys, I’m just riffing). They have approximately 2 songs and they are both hilariously crude and oh so catchy.
In other exciting news, Nayeli Romero shared a Parisian Style Playlist in honor of the #ParisianStyle10x10 challenge. How freaking amazing is that?! It has all the feel good retro Parisian tunes, making it the perfect soundtrack for your next weekend coffee run or Fall wardrobe switch over. Thank you Nayeli!
