February Playlist

Jessica Harumi February Playlist 1

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and you know what that means? A playlist chock full of sickly sweet romantic songs for ya, as promised in my latest video.

If you’re fresh out of ideas for a thoughtful V-Day gift, why not try a personalized playlist of love songs? It’s fun to make, fun to listen to and just the right balance of cheesy and endearing. The gift that keeps on giving all the warm and fuzzy feelings.

This month’s playlist is the usual odd mixture. We’ve got some oldies, some dancey electronic tunes and some early-aughts indie acoustic songs for good measure. Lately I’ve been enjoying James Blake’s album Assume Form. Honestly, what else is new? But this one is especially apt for February because it’s full of gooey romantic songs, presumably written about Jameela Jamil, swoon. As for the rest, there’s a lot of songs I enjoyed as an angsty hopelessly romantic teen, but still love to listen too from time to time today. Not much has changed I suppose.

And now I’m curious, what’s your go-to genre for love songs? Pop? Old school R&B? Let me know in the comments what you’ll be grooving to on love day. Happy listening and have a lovely Valentine’s Day!
