June Playlist
This June the playlist is pretty heavy on the melodic and deep house tunes. I recently discovered some new tracks that I love (via Chris Luno of course) from Frtis Wentik and Josh Butler. A new favorite track “All I See” from Anja Schneider features a hauntingly beautiful sample that I think came from this DJ Vadim song. There’s also a new-to-me track from KAYTRANADA, whom I saw gracing the pages of Vogue this month along with a bunch of other musicians that I can’t wait to check out.
For anyone whose been reading these playlist posts over the past few months, you will know I’m completely obsessed with Ry X and all his various projects at the moment. Funny enough, I recently realized that I had been listening to his music under The Acid since 2014. Isn’t it funny how music taste can evolve over time but some sounds we just naturally gravitate towards? So it should go without saying that The Acid has been in heavy rotation over the past month and I love nearly every track they’ve made, from the more upbeat, dreamy tunes like “Fame” to the gritty sounds on “Creeper.” It’s my dreamy deep house cup of tea and maybe yours too!
And I know that Tom Odell’s “Another Love” doesn’t really fit anywhere in this playlist but I discovered it through TikTok and I just couldn’t stop listening to it so I felt it deserved a spot here too. Are you like me and just repeatedly listen to a song until you’re sick of it? Yeah, I do that a lot more than I’d like to admit. Anyways, don’t forget to follow me on Spotify to keep up with my monthly playlists or if you’d like to be friends and share music recs. Happy listening!
