New Dior Beauty Bits

Today’s post is another beauty chat, which you may have noticed I have been very into lately. I am thrilled to share an Instagram collaboration that I did with Dior Beauty Lovers recently. They were kind enough to send me three products to try out and share. This was very much a pinch me moment when they got in touch and I can happily say that the bits I got to try were just as luxe and wonderful as I thought they would be!

A Fall Eye Palette

I have been super into the idea of #FrenchGirlFall (thanks to the lovely Mallory) and that extends to my eye makeup. I’ve been playing around with the Dior Backstage Custom Eye Palette which is a completely customizable palette with different finishes. I’m currently loving a simple cat eye with some shimmery brown lids (see the 3 brown shades) and I’ve even played around with the pigmented gold for a bit of sparkle. This palette also has a powder to liner gel which I have yet to use but I assume will come in handy while traveling. Dior has another similar palette with some gorgeous terracotta shades too.

A Dreamy Skincare Addition

This is perhaps my favorite skincare product at the moment. While I’m no expert, I have started putting more time and effort into my skincare routine this year in order to build a routine for the long haul. The Dior Dreamskin Care and Protect serum is the most soothing and velvety serum I’ve ever used. It feels amazing to apply and it smells just as good. Other than feeling great on the skin, it also has skin-perfecting and anti-aging properties. It helps to even out skin texture, tighten pores and reduce dark spots and redness. I use it after my moisturizer but you can use it in place of a moisturizer too, depending on your skin type.

A New Scent for the Season

I love the idea of associating a perfume with a certain time and place, and I think the JOY by Dior perfume is going to be my scent for the holidays. It’s a cheery floral blend of rose and jasmine with notes of sandalwood, it just smells joyful! The bottle is a gorgeous rosey shade too. This scent makes me feel so feminine and bright and I love spritzing some on before I rush out the door.
