Winter Most Worn Pieces
Here in the South East it feels like we’re just starting to shake off winter and embrace warmer, sunnier days! And as I’ve gradually started reaching for more light hues, I thought it would be a good idea to revive a small series here on the blog, a seasonal roundup of my most worn pieces. I say revive because the last one I shared was my Summer ‘20 roundup! Yep, Fall came and went and with the move and holiday season, it completely slipped my mind. But this post feels like the perfect bookend to winter fashion content here on the blog. You can however expect to see me in many more knits on Instagram until things warm up a bit.
Tentree Bamone Sweatpants
I’ve completely lost track of how many times I’ve reached for these comfy sweatpants over the last 3 months. They’re a heavier, fleece-lined material than the rest of the sweatpants, making them the perfect thickness for brisk morning strolls around the garden (my favorite new routine). I have a heather grey color, which appears to be sold out, but they have a few similar colors and some new styles for spring that are so tempting! Some brands just do sweatsuits better than the rest and Tentree is one of those brands.
Vetta Capsule Cropped Cardigan
Judging by how much I wear my Tradlands Shelter cardigan, it’s no surprise that I love this similar style from VETTA just as much. They’ve also released it in a black and deep yellow color too. Because of the cropped fit, I love pairing it with high waisted jeans. Most days I’ve been layering it over a long sleeve tee but when it gets a bit warmer, I like to wear it on its own as a top too.
Able Whitney Boyfriend Jeans
I get SO many compliments every time I wear these jeans! And I felt it was only right to include at least one pair of denim in this roundup. I’ve worn them a considerable amount this winter, despite the constant siren’s call of my fav sweatpants. Lately I’ve been gravitating more towards wide leg cuts as they feel so much more relaxed for days around the house. I love wearing them cuffed at the bottoms, despite having to adjust them throughout the day. And they look so darling paired with some clogs or heels and a more fitted top.
Encircled Dressy Sweatsuit
Perhaps my most-worn pieces of the winter is this matching set from Encircled, no surprise! This is a brand that I’ve come to love more and more for their attention to sustainable materials and the versatility of the pieces I own. I do tend to wear the Dressy Sweatpants more on their own, so I can pair them with other tops depending on how bundled up I want to be. But this set has become my go-to on those days when I want to feel cute and comfy and not have to put together an outfit. I’ve already talked about this set a lot here and on YouTube so that’s a great indication of how much I’ve been wearing it this season.
Uniqlo Camel Cocoon Coat (similar 1, 2, 3)
This winter wardrobe roundup would not be complete without mention of a coat. While I’ve not really needed too many coat options this year, I have got a whole lot of wear out of an old favorite, a camel cocoon coat from Uniqlo. This is another piece that I frequently get compliments on, perhaps for it’s simplicity and warm color. A lot of winter clothing is darker in color so it’s nice to have a top layer that’s a bit lighter. And it surprisingly goes with just about everything I wear. Because of how often I feature this piece, I’ve been searching high and low for a similar style from a sustainable brand. AYR and Eileen Fisher make some similar styles, albeit at pretty high price points. I have however been thinking about one piece that might eventually replace my fast fashion coat and that’s The Classic Coat from The Curated, which I’ve read great reviews on from Style Bee and Mademoiselle. Maybe next winter!
