My April Goals
Well here we are already in the second week of April (how?!) and I’m only just getting around to sharing my monthly goals post. The start of the month has been a strange mix of a few extremely unmotivated, slow days peppered in with lots of really busy ones. But a full workload is always a good problem to have and I’ve been feeling more grateful than ever for my job lately (more on that below). Anyhoo, I thought I’d share a little recap of my progress in March (to hold myself accountable in some small way) and crack on with some slightly more realistic goals for April!
Last Month in Review
I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that I was able to accomplish just one of last month’s goals - reclaiming my weekends (woohoo!) - but even that didn’t last long. That said, the takeaway there was to reestablish healthier work/life boundaries, which I feel I’ve managed to grasp onto for the time being. Reconnecting with old friends and spending time with family has definitely helped ‘fill my cup’ once again. I also loved this very aptly timed Style Bee post on reducing creative burnout . And while I hadn’t mentioned it in my last post, I did manage to accomplish another personal financial goal of mine, to pay off my credit card debt in 5 months. This was a big one for me and something I put off for far too long but it was such a huge relief and weight off my shoulders when it finally happened. So I’m calling March a success for that in itself!

Co-Host the #ParisianStyle10x10 Challenge
I don’t know if this constitutes itself as a goal necessarily, seeing as it’s already in progress, but I’ve not spoken much about it here just yet so I thought it’s worth including. Yesterday kicked off the start of the #ParisianStyle10x10 capsule wardrobe challenge that I’m co-hosting with the lovely Bri Lamberson! It’s been over a year since I co-hosted my first 10x10 challenge on Instagram and I’m so excited to put my capsule wardrobe and *virtual hostess* skills to the test again. If you’d like to join (it’s never too late) you can check out this post to see what it’s all about! Bri and I also collaborated on two YouTube videos sharing our 10x10 capsule wardrobe picks and some outfit ideas too. You can watch my video and then head over to Bri’s video if you’re keen.
Start Another Room Refresh
One project I’m really looking forward to is sharing another room refresh, this time turning my attention to the living room! Since moving back home with my mom, she’s been so gracious to invite some of my interior pieces into the shared spaces, which she has been gradually making changes to. It was so much fun to put together my bedroom makeover post and vlogs and you all seemed to really like it too! I’ve mentioned here before that I’m a bit obsessed with all things interior design and I’d love to incorporate more of that content into my work. So that said, you can expect another interior refresh post in May or June but for now I’ll be working on the space in my spare time.
Celebrate My 2nd Lockdown Birthday
Here’s another non-goal for ya. I’m coming up on my 27th birthday towards the end of the month, or my 2nd birthday in lockdown years, and I hope to make the day feel a bit more fun and interesting than the rest. Last year I reflected on wrapping up the first half of my 20’s right at the start of lockdown and oh my word, literally everything in my life has changed since. This is also the first birthday that I’ll be celebrating with my family in GA since turning 18 so that in itself will make this a truly special one! I plan to keep the day very low-key and just spend it at home doing things I love. Who knows, maybe I’ll treat myself to something on my wishlist. If you have any chill birthday at home suggestions I’d love to hear them.
