Parisian Style 10x10 Challenge Day 1-5
Well, April sure has been full on! If you’re not following me on Instagram, you may have missed the #ParisianStyle10x10 challenge, happening this week and last. I’ve been co-hosting this 10 day capsule wardrobe challenge with the lovely Bri Lamberson (@brilamberson) as a continuation of our YouTube collaboration video. This challenge has been incredibly inspiring to say the least and I’ve been able to connect with so many new friends who are just as passionate about slow fashion, capsule wardrobes and Parisian style as myself.
These style challenges always renew my love of sharing on social media in a big way, but this blog will always be my number one favorite place to post online. So with that in mind, I’d like to share a roundup of outfits from the first five days of the #ParisianStyle10x10 challenge! Do you think I was able to capture that elusive Parisian style? Let me know in the comments which day is your favorite.
Quince Silk Shirt | Everlane Straight Crop Pants | Wilder Sandals | Able Tote Bag | Ana Luisa Venus Hoops | Missoma Necklace
Day 1
I eased myself into the challenge with a reliable outfit formula: head to toe white (or off-white rather) and a pop of bright orangey brown leather accessories. This felt like such a refreshing, spring-like outfit. It’s super comfortable but made me feel put together enough. A silk button up shirt feels very Parisian to me in that it’s a classic wardrobe staple in a luxurious material. I can definitely see myself adding a long sleeve version of the silk shirt to my wardrobe in the future, such as the Ann Shirt from Sezane’s classic collection.

Day 2
What is a Parisian style challenge without stripes and a classic trench coat? I was so excited to see how others styled similar pieces in their 10x10 capsule wardrobes. This outfit was perhaps the most typically French looking outfit that I put together and yet it felt so good to wear! I think it says a lot when an on the nose outfit like this still feels so fresh, minimal and classic. The Sarah Flint Rosie Heels and black crossbody bag really helped make this look feel more polished and put together than what I’d usually go for. And this outfit has now inspired me to incorporate a low block heel into my everyday outfits for a feminine touch.
Esby Oversized Shirt | Everlane Straight Crop Pants | Wilder Sandals | Able Tote Bag | Ana Luisa Venus Hoops | Missoma Necklace
Day 3
You all seemed to love this outfit on Instagram and I’m right there with you! I kept the rest of the outfit simple (and quite similar to Day 1’s look) to let the unique design of the Esby Chelle Shirt shine on its own. While I’ve never been one to gravitate towards the color yellow, I think the muted tone of this top appeals to my neutral-loving palette. And I get it, wearing bright, pretty colors really is such a mood booster. Maybe I should make more of a habit of it! As for the Parisian style prompt, I feel like this could pass as a chic en vacances look. What do you think?

Day 4
This is perhaps my favorite look of the first five days! I’ll admit, I only really got to wear the dress around the house as I had nowhere to go that day but it’s officially been stored in my brain under “rewear this later.” I know that I feature this middi dress a lot but it’s just one of those pieces that I never get tired of and I still keep finding new ways to style it each season. An oldie but a goodie! This outfit also screams transitional spring weather, with the trench coat and dress combo. I think I called this my ‘April showers bring May flowers’ look on Instagram. Corny idioms aside, I am such a fan of this outfit. Take it as a reminder to stretch your wardrobe and wear your summery basket bag and warm weather pieces when you want.

Day 5
On day five I kept it pretty simple with a cardigan worn as a top, some straight leg jeans and the same handbag and sandals combo from the earlier. This outfit is definitely more minimalist that Parisian but I think the colors still loosely stick with the theme. I love how the dark wash of the jeans make the brown/orange leather accessories really pop. This is another look from my outfit repertoire that I wear repeatedly because it’s simple, put together yet comfortable and it just makes me feel really good. The perfect Friday outfit that I will no doubt, revisit in the future.
