Parisian Style 10x10 Challenge Day 6-10
And now to pick up where I left off with my last post on my Parisian Style 10x10 challenge outfits. Surprisingly, there were a couple of pieces that I hadn’t even worn yet until the second part of this challenge. This time around, I definitely felt like I had more than enough clothing items so next time I might challenge myself to include shoes in my 10 item count, as others did. But overall, I feel so much more inspired with my wardrobe!
This challenge was so much fun from start to finish and I’m very grateful to my co-host Bri Lamberson and everyone who participated (check out all the #ParisianStyle10x10 posts) for making it so successful! It blows my mind that there were nearly 450 outfit posts shared with the hashtag! Bri and I also did a little Parisian Style 10x10 challenge recap on Instagram live (watch it here) to discuss how we created our capsule wardrobes and infused them with a Parisian flare. And a lot of you seemed interested in doing another Parisian Style 10x10 challenge, perhaps in the Summer or Fall, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Day 6
While putting together outfits, I randomly tried tying up this gorgeous Esby Apparel shirt and ended up finding a whole new way to wear it! I love how simply tying this top around my waist gave it such a different feel. I can see myself recreating this outfit for a summery day outdoors, just switching out the jeans for a pair of denim shorts. This was also quite a colorful outfit for me and it really reminds me of a Van Gogh painting, everything down to the straw bag.

Day 7
This outfit feels so perfect for this time of year. It’s easy, comfortable and provides a light layer if needed. I felt really good in this outfit, even just puttering around the house on a Sunday. Another reason why a midi dress is a good addition to a 10x10 capsule, it can be worn as a dress one day and a midi skirt the next. I like including a dress in my 10x10s because I don’t tend to reach for them day to day, so it’s a nice opportunity to get more wear out of these pieces.

Day 8
I can’t believe I went a whole 7 days in this challenge before styling my oversized blazer! This is another piece that I still struggle to wear regularly. It always gives my outfit an androgynous feel, which I typically like, but I’ve found it a bit trickier to style since cutting my hair short. My tiny head and the big shoulder pads just looks a bit odd sometimes, so I try to balance it out with other pieces like a slim jean, softer silk blouse and heels. But I couldn’t not include a blazer in a Parisian-inspired capsule wardrobe either! This is a piece I was really inspired to include thanks to my co-host Bri Lamberson. A vintage blazer is one of her style staples that she wears so well and a less obvious pillar of French style.

Day 9
This was the first and only day I wore my basic white tee, which was probably the most surprising difference between this and past 10x10 challenges I’ve done. I usually rely heavily on this wardrobe basic that I include in pretty much every 10x10 that I do. This actually made me pretty happy because it meant I was consistently wearing my “dressier” pieces at home, something I’ve not done as much since the start of the year. I have to say, it felt really nice to be a bit dressed up for a change. An all white outfit is another go-to outfit formula for me, the only difference being the addition of a classic trench and contrasting black accessories.

Day 10
I was determined to throw one more blazer outfit in for the last day of the challenge. I have to say, I really loved this outfit! This was the first time I styled the darker blazer with a neutral base and it’s definitely something I’ll be revisiting in the future. A blazer makes a great lightweight jacket for spring, especially when it’s in a heavier wool material like this one. Because a tailored jacket can feel a bit dressier, I decided to pair it with my Veja Esplar sneakers for a more casual look. And I liked this outfit just as much without the jacket too, which is always a plus!
